Kristopher Sanchez
Senior Project Advisor
Kris Sanchez is the new the director of International Trade for the Governors’ Office of Economic Development. He has extensive experience working as a Congressional staffer in Washington, D.C., for Representatives Jon Porter and Wally Herger. His portfolio included the House Committee on Homeland Security, the House Armed Services Committee, the House Veterans Affairs Committee, and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. He has also worked as a general manager and executive team leader for Gap and Target.

Kris holds Master’s Degrees in Public Administration and Military History from Norwich University, and a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Political Science from California State University Stanislaus. He has completed coursework on terrorism, international relations and homeland security at the National Defense University’s Institute for National Security Studies; and is a past fellow at the Leon & Sylvia Panetta Institute for Public Policy.
Enrique Mazon
Project Manager
Enrique is an International Trade Specialist to Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development focused on the Americas. Prior to this, he served in the United States Marine Corps as his unit’s administrative chief from 2005-2009. Upon completion of active duty service, Enrique began his education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with his bachelor’s degree in public administration graduating in December of 2011. During his studies, Enrique worked for the university in the College of Education’s advising and field placement center. He is currently finishing up his master’s in public administration with the university and looks to enhance Nevada businesses exporting efforts with the Governor’s Office.
Steve Woodbury
Administrative Services Officer II
Steve Woodbury has served as the Administrative Services Officer for the Governor’s Office of Economic Development since January 2013. Mr. Woodbury oversees the department’s administrative services, including fiscal, accounting, budgetary, and human resources. Prior to coming to GOED, Mr. Woodbury worked for the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, for 5 years as Operations & Finance Manager and 6 years as Deputy Director, Administration. Mr. Woodbury has also held management positions with the Nevada Health Division and the Washoe County Health District and serves on Nevada Deferred Compensation Committee and the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition.

Mr. Woodbury is a Nevada native, graduating from Reno High School in 1983. He holds a BA degree in International Relations and a Master of Public Administration degree, both from Brigham Young University. Mr. Woodbury lives in Carson City with his wife and three children and participates actively in the community, his church, and the Boy Scouts of America.
